Group Exhibition
"Light Pollution"

Light Pollution was a digital media group exhibition focused on the impact lights have on our natural landscape. Several projections were mapped around the Engineering Complex on the CU Boulder campus.

I choose to map on the tallest and most prominent spire of the complex creating a 100ft+ projection. The accompanying video, "Superintended Vanquishment" portrayed failures in engineering projects due to natural causes and was meant to show a paradox between the site (engineering complex) and the engineering results (nature overcoming engineering). This forced the viewer to consider how humans are impacting the planet and what the planet itself can do to us no matter how great the engineering feat.
